Welcome to the internet home of Arizona’s G&T Cooperatives where more than 300 people – your friends and neighbors – work 24 hours a day to ensure the lights stay on.
In fact, we’ve been producing safe, reliable, affordable electric power for your homes, businesses, ranches and farms for half a century.
In many of the communities we serve we’re known by the acronym “AEPCO,” or Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. AEPCO owns and operates the 600 MW (gross rated) Apache generating station in Cochise, Arizona, which is east of Benson and south of Willcox. We’re also Southwest Transmission Cooperative, Inc., (SWTC), the transmission side of operations, and Sierra Southwest Cooperative Services, Inc., (Sierra) which provides the manpower and support services that make generating and transmitting your electricity possible. All three cooperatives are members of Touchstone Energy with “The Power of Human Connections.”
And that’s only the beginning. Arizona’s G&T Cooperatives are involved in the development and support of alternative energy sources like solar through the SunWatts program. Our Environmental Department is always looking at how we can improve the environment while continuing to build and maintain the infrastructure needed to deliver electricity. We have engineers, plant operators, electricians, and accountants; a systems control division that constantly monitors the electric grid and linemen who constantly maintain our part of it. We support many of the organizations and charities in your communities through our cooperative giving program. And all of this is done by the people – your friends and neighbors – of Arizona’s G&T Cooperatives. Thanks for checking in, we hope you stay awhile. Browse our website for information on all the things we do and the services we offer and if you don’t find what you need, contact us. We always love to hear from our neighbors.
