Renewable Energy

Installing Solar PanelsAEPCO is proud of our Cooperative member’s efforts to develop renewable sources of generation and have dedicated resources to support member programs, coordinate renewable energy activities, and promote renewable resource development throughout the state.

AEPCO in affiliation with other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives across the state of Arizona created SunWatts, a renewable energy program that is designed to reduce Arizona’s green house gas emissions by developing renewable clean sources of generation. We need to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and have renewable generation in place to help meet our state’s future energy needs. SunWatts also provides members with options to buy renewable energy and add renewable technologies to their homes or businesses. Becoming more environmentally friendly and reducing your electric usage is easy with SunWatts.

SunWatts Programs are designed with you our members in mind. The following programs are supported by many of our Cooperative Members and are designed specifically for residential and commercial needs in mind.

  • Renewable Energy Purchase Program Cooperative Members can purchase blocks of renewable energy to supplement the energy you are already receiving from your Cooperative. Your purchase decreases your home’s environmental footprint and assists the Cooperatives in developing additional renewable resources.
  • Rebates The Cooperatives rebate programs provide our members incentives that buy down the purchase costs of installing qualifying renewable energy systems on their home or business.

Renewable Energy programs vary from Cooperative to Cooperative. To find information specific to your Cooperative’s programs, download literature, and get information on renewable installations installed in your area just click on the links below to reach the Cooperative that serves your area.
