Magen Howard
Senior Cooperative Communications Administrator
Magen Howard joined AzGT in February 2022 and brings with her 15 years of experience in cooperative and corporate communications, from member and employee relations to team leadership and internal counsel. At AzGT, she will be responsible for supporting strong relationships with Member cooperatives and customers and providing communications guidance on new initiatives in the rapidly changing energy landscape.
Prior to her position at AzGT, Magen has served in communications management positions at distribution, generation and transmission, and statewide cooperative organizations in Ohio and Kentucky. She also served the nation’s cooperatives with communications support and training at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Arlington, Virginia.
Magen has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in strategic communications and public relations.
J.D. Wallace
Cooperative Communications, Social Media & Marketing Administrator
J.D. joined AzGT in 2015. A major part of his role is to expand the cooperatives’ reach in the community through developing original content for and the use of a variety of social media platforms. He also performs a variety of communications functions from community participation to legislative relations.
Prior to joining the cooperatives, J.D. spent almost 15 years in local broadcast television as a journalist. He spent almost 12 years at the CBS affiliate in Tucson. His first two reporting jobs were in Anchorage, Alaska, at the ABC and NBC affiliates, respectively. He also spent one legislative session in Juneau, Alaska, as the majority press secretary in the Alaska House of Representatives.
J.D. has a bachelor’s in broadcasting and two minors in English and Spanish from Arizona State University.
