Director of Technology
Ryan Manzo is the Director of Technology at Arizona G&T Cooperatives, a role he assumed in 2024. He began his career with the company in 2008 as an Operations Engineer and quickly transitioned to Energy Management System (EMS) Manager, where he led an EMS and IT team through several platform upgrades and efficiency projects. Ryan then advanced to the Manager of Transmission Technical Services, where he helped support all transmission technical functions, including Transmission Planning. Ryan was then promoted to the Manager of Technical Services where he helped manage all corporate and transmission environments and systems.
As Director of Technology, Ryan leads the teams responsible for the applications and infrastructure that ensure reliable operations and maintenance of the transmission and generation systems. He drives automation and integration efforts that support member services, controls and monitors generation and transmission facilities, safeguards critical assets, and streamlines processes. Ryan oversees a broad range of technical functions, including EMS/SCADA, Process Controls, Networking and Communications Engineering, Substation Automation, Software Engineering and Development, Information Technology and Cyber Security, and works to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. His extensive expertise in both technology and operations is instrumental in advancing Arizona G&T Cooperative’s strategic goals and enhancing its operational efficiency.
